Salvation Army

We’ve partnered with the Salvation Army in a unique way to help our customers help those in need. Often when you get new furniture, it can be a problem to get rid of the OLD furniture.  We took that problem, and looked around to see who could use furniture donations.  The Salvation Army said….We Can! We Can!

So here’s how it works.  When we deliver your new furniture, at the same time we will remove your old furniture for a small fee, and take it to the SA.   You get the tax donation, one stop convenience, and the Salvation Army is able to resale your furniture donation to help fund their Adult Rehabilitation Center.

The Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Centers provide spiritual, social and emotional assistance for men and women who have lost the ability to cope with their problems and provide for themselves. They are part of Jerry’s Community who are struggling.

Each center offers residential housing, work, and group and individual therapy, all in a clean, wholesome environment. The physical and spiritual care that program participants receive prepares them to re-enter society and return to gainful employment. Many of those who have been rehabilitated are reunited with their families and resume a normal life.

The Salvation Army sells donated furniture, collected by Jerome’s at their Family Stores to help fund this program.

Mark Navarra: “Our partnership with the Salvation Army is a win-win.  We facilitate the giving by our customers. It is thanks to them that this program is such a success. That feels really good.”
